The test strip consists of a sample pad and a colloidal gold bonding pad (sprayed with colloid Gold-labeled SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibody I), nitrocellulose membrane (NC membrane) (the detection area is coated with SARS-CoV-2 monoclonal antibody II (T line) and goat anti- Mouse IgG (C line)), liner and absorbent pad.
2.Desiccant: 1 piece/pouch, silica gel.
3.Swab: 25 pieces/pack.
4.Sample treatment solution: 25 vials/pack.
5.Sampling tube: 25 pieces/pack.
Storage and Stability:
The test reagent is stored at 2~30 ℃, and the validity period is tentatively set for 18 months.

Extra Details:
This kit applies the GICA(Gold Immunochromatography) method for the detection of IgG and IgM specific to COVID-19 in human whole blood, serum, or plasma; Note: For Research Use Only. It consists of two test lines, an IgG line and an IgM line, and a control line. The anti-human IgG mouse monoclonal is pre-coated in IgG test line region while the anti-human IgM mouse monoclonal is pre-coated in IgM test line region. And the antimouse IgG goat polyclonal is pre-coated in the control line region. During testing, the sample reacts with COVID-19 antigen-coated particles in the test cassette.
The mixture then migrates upward on the membrane chromatographically by capillary action and reacts with the anti-human IgG in IgG test line region. If the sample contains IgG antibodies to COVID-19, a colored line will appear in IgG test line region. In the same way, if the sample contains IgM antibodies to COVID19, a colored line will appear in IgM test line region. And if the tested sample does not contain antibodies specific to COVID-19, no colored line will appear in either of the two test line regions, which indicates a negative result. To serve as a procedural control, a colored line will always appear in the control line region, indicating that the proper volume of sample has been added and membrane wicking has occurred.
SARS-CoV/CoV-2 (2019-nCoV) Antibodies
Since the SARS-CoV-2-Spike protein and Nucleocapsid Protein (NP) are the biomarkers of 2019-nCoV, and angiotensin convertenzyme 2 (ACE-2) is the main surface receptor to SARS-CoV-2 , it is important to fully understand the role these proteins play in SARS-CoV-2 infection. Elabsicnece® offers a variety of antibodies to investigate the mechanisms of the SARS-CoV-2 life cycle.

SARS-CoV/CoV-2 (2019-nCoV) Proteins
Spike Protein
The spike protein is a large type I transmembrane protein containing two subunits, S1 and S2. S1 mainly contains a receptor binding domain (RBD), which is responsible for recognizing the cell surface receptor, and S2 contains basic elements needed for the membrane fusion.
Nucleocapsid Protein (N protein)
The coronavirus N protein is abundantly produced within infected cells. N protein has multiple functions, including binding to viral RNA to form the ribonucleocapsid and has also been proposed to have roles in virus replication, transcription and translation. In host cells, N proteins have been shown to cause deregulation of the cell-cycle, inhibit the production of interferon, up-regulate the production of COX2, up-regulate the activity of AP1, and induce apoptosis in serum deprived cells-of all of which may have possible pathological consequences.
